Working Hours and Leaves in Qatar Labour Law
The Qatar Labour Law addresses working hours and leaves to ensure a suitable working environment for workers and to achieve a balance between work and personal life.
Working Hours and Leave Provisions:
- Working Hours: A worker shall not be employed more than eight hours a day or forty-eight hours a week.
- Rest Periods: The worker must be granted a rest period of not less than one hour after working five consecutive hours.
- Annual Leave: A worker is entitled to paid annual leave of not less than three weeks if his period of service is one year or more.
- Sick Leave: A worker is entitled to paid sick leave for a period not exceeding two weeks.
