Part One: Expatriate Workers’ Rights

Expatriate workers play a vital role in the Saudi economy, and labor laws regulate their conditions and protect them from exploitation. The law includes rights for expatriate workers to receive fair wages, paid leaves, and compensation for work-related injuries.

Expatriate workers enjoy similar rights to local workers, including the right to file grievances and complaints with the relevant authorities in case of violations. The law also provides legal protection for expatriate workers against discriminatory or arbitrary practices by employers.

Part Two: Expatriate Workers’ Duties

Conversely, expatriate workers must adhere to all applicable laws and regulations in the kingdom. This includes complying with the terms of the employment contract and not causing any legal or social issues. Expatriate workers must also respect the cultural values and traditions of the Saudi community.

Saudi authorities monitor the working conditions of expatriate workers to ensure employers’ compliance with the laws, including providing suitable accommodation and medical services when needed. The Ministry of Labor organizes awareness campaigns for expatriate workers to inform them of their rights and duties and ensure they receive necessary assistance if they encounter any problems.
